This listing is for a DIGITAL DOWNLOADABLE FILE and not a finished product. In this pattern, you will learn how to make the Serendipity Wallet by Maple + Sunshine Boutique! At a finished size of approximately 8" x 4 1/2" x 1/2", it is a perfectly sized wallet packed with functional features. It has 9 card slots, 3 cash slots, an optional zipper pocket, ID window and snap tab closure to keep everything securely in place.

This pattern gives you a multitude of creative flexibility with options to use both non-fraying materials such as leather, vinyl or cork for the exterior as well as printed cottons. You will learn techniques that are easy to follow, and be guided through the process using step by step instructions including photographs. This is an advanced beginner to intermediate pattern. You should be familiar with general sewing terms, zippers, accuracy, setting rivets/snaps and edge painting. While some of the side seams can be on the thicker side, versions of this pattern can be completed on most home sewing machines.

FREE SVG files are included for all "non-rectangle" pieces with this purchase. Although you don't need a home cutting machine to use this pattern, it will significantly reduce your prep time as well as improve accuracy in cutting certain pieces if you do. Unfortunately, I am not able to help troubleshoot issues you may encounter with your cutting machine as I am not familiar with all of the brands available. I will try to assist you with any issues you may have, but please make sure that you are comfortable using SVG files and are familiar with your machine if you plan to use one.

You will also receive a bonus free embroidery tab in the following formats: DST, EDR, EXP, HUS, JEF, PES, VP3 and XXX. If you need a format not listed, please contact me and I will do my best to get it to you. To use this file, you will hoop your tear away stabilizer and run the placement stitch. Then, you will float your vinyl/cork/leather on both the top and bottom of your hoop, right sides facing out, and run the stitch sequence. You can run the second stitch sequence if you wish to include marks for where your rivets will go. Once finished, simply cut around leaving a 1/8" space around the stitching and edge paint as usual.

This pattern is for personal use only and not intended for commercial use. No templates are permitted to be made from this pattern in part or as a whole, and video tutorials will only be permitted by those given permission from Christina Donohew. You may sell your handmade items made using this pattern, but mass production is not permitted. Pattern credit is always appreciated!

You will need the following to complete this pattern:

Materials—
* 1 fat quarter of cotton woven for exterior and ID window backing (you may need slightly more if you have directional fabric or are fussy cutting) OR approx. 1 sf leather/cork/vinyl for exterior depending on your exterior choice
* 1 sf of vinyl/cork/leather for card slot pockets and tab closure
* SF 101 or equivalent
* Tyvek (available at fabric stores in the interfacing section) for card slots – you can substitute for olyfun or other similar thin, non fraying material if needed. Landscape fabric also works great!
* Decovil Light—1/2 yard
* Small piece of clear vinyl for ID window
* Edge base coat and paint to match your cork/leather/vinyl
* Magnetic snap rivet or plastic kam snaps (this can be substituted for snap of your choice)
* (2) 8 mm rivets
* Double Sided Tape
* Contact Cement or fabric glue of your choice
* 2 and 2.5-3mm hole punch

Optional zipper pocket—
* Additional fat quarter
* SF101
* 7” #3 zipper or 6” of prepared #3 zipper tape—(I do not recommend using a #5 zipper here. It will add bulk to the zipper and make it difficult to close.)
* Decovil Light—small piece
